Reading summary for 2019

Earlier this year in July which was Week 28 of the year, I hit the 39 book milestone. Now at the end of the year, I’m at 68 books and going strong. Everything in bold in the list below is what I’ve read since July.

Obviously, I outperformed my goal of 52 books for the year, but in all honesty, I could have done a lot better if I’d watched less garbage on TV. Nonetheless, I’m going to be more ambitious with my reading goals for next year.

Books are my form of therapy; they’re how I still my mind and escape my head for hours on end. Even yoga doesn’t clear my head as much as reading a book does. This year has had it’s ups and downs, but I’ve read so many wonderful books that will stay with me far beyond this year.

Some of my favorites in no particular order: The Stranger, Milkman, The Wise Man’s Fear, Words of Radiance, Malevolent Republic, The Intelligent Investor, Fun Home.

Next up, my workout summary for the year!
